The new family roller coaster opening at Bellewaerde in Belgium has been named Wakala.
Wakala has been inspired by the Canadian Indians of the Kwakiutl tribe, and the attraction is being built in the park’s Canadian area.
€7.5 million has been invested in Wakala, which is the largest investment in an attraction at Bellewaerde since 1999.

Futuroscope has announced that their new roller coaster, Objectif Mars, is due to open at the theme park on March 28, 2020.
This unique launch coaster will send riders hurtling through a new space-training centre. Find out if you have what it takes to go on a space mission, as you face solar eruptions and electromagnetic fields at speeds of up to 35 mph (55 km/h), indoors and outdoors.
The new €20 million attraction promises visitors an immersive experience with special effects including indoor fire.

Gardaland Resort has released full details on the new LEGOLAND Water Park opening on 28 May 2020.
It will be the first time that a LEGOLAND Water Park has been created inside a theme park that is not LEGOLAND branded.
The water park will feature a variety of pools, water slides and play areas all aimed at families with children aged 2-12.

Efteling – the fairytale theme park in the Netherlands – has completed the track for their new family roller coaster, Max & Moritz.
After attaching nearly 5,000 bolts and nuts, the final sections have now been installed.
This completes the two different tracks for the new ride, which includes Max and Moritz courses.

Liseberg has announced that their new family dark ride Underlandet will open on April 25 in Kaninlandet (Rabbit Land).
The new dark ride will take guests underground to experience the rabbits’ secret world, and will be the largest investment for families since Liseberg built the Rabbit Land in 2013.
It will feature a series of highly detailed themed environments that include animations, sounds, lighting and special effects.

Europa-Park in Germany has achieved the highest number of visitors in its history, with over 5.7 million visitors in 2019.
2019 was characterised by construction work and significant investments - the water park Rulantica and the adjacent hotel Krønasår cost around 180 million Euros. It is the largest single investment that Europa-Park has ever made.
In addition, there was the reconstruction of the Scandinavian themed area, which was destroyed by the fire, and the new ride Snorri Touren.

German theme park Tripsdrill will open two new Vekoma roller coasters in spring 2020.
The two additions will be a Family Boomerang Coaster named Volldampf (Full Steam Ahead) and a Suspended Thrill Coaster named Hals-über-Kopf (Head Over Heels).
These new rides will have intertwined layouts, which means that the tracks of both roller coasters will cross several times.
