Efteling – the fairytale theme park in the south of Holland – will open a new play forest for its youngest visitors from early summer 2021: Nest!.

Located in the Ruigrijk area of the park close to the other family rides and attractions and in a small forested area, Nest! will be an inclusive area for young children of all abilities to play together.

It will include elements themed to the various Efteling roller coasters so that the young visitors can still get a taste of the bigger attractions, which they’re currently too small to ride.

Energylandia has been forced to close suddenly due to a significant rise in COVID-19 cases in Poland, and will not re-open until 2021.

The park was planning to open for the winter season for the first time, but they have made the decsion to cancel the event. 

The validity of annual and one-day tickets has been extended – individual tickets will be valid until June 25, 2021, annual passes will be valid for 50 days longer in the 2021 season.

PortAventura World will be closing again, until October 30, due to special measures for containing the spread of COVID-19 in Spain.

PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land with their rides, restaurants and shops, all resumed activities on July 8, opening 10:00 to 22:00 and 11:00 to 16:00 respectively.

Resort hotels Hotel PortAventura, Hotel Gold River, Hotel Mansión de Lucy and Hotel Colorado Creek had also re-opened, but the Caribe Aquatic Park remained closed.

Futuroscope in France has announced more details of their ambitious €300m transformation over the next 10 years, including three major new attractions, two themed hotels and an indoor water park.

By the end of the investment project, Futuroscope hopes to attract over 2.5m visitors per year (650,000 more than the current attendance) and increase its turnover by 75%.

The expansion of the park should also lead to the creation of 750 extra jobs.

Speaking at the blooloop V-Expo, Michael Mack, Chief Executive Officer of Europa-Park, revealed plans to add at least 2 new themed areas and 5 new attractions over the next few years, including a new roller coaster in 2023.

Mack also spoke about how they are increasingly developing their new rides and attractions in-house, and how they are using storytelling to link together multiple experiences across the resort and beyond.

The proposed new roller coaster in 2023 would be the first roller coaster to open at the park since the Ba-a-a-Express in 2016.

From 16th November 2020 until 31st January 2021 visitors to Efteling will experience a winter wonderland atmosphere at this fairytale theme park in the south of Holland.

Winter Efteling will see the park transformed with festive garlands, crackling wood burning stoves and thousands of twinkling lights.

New this year is the Warme Winter Weide winter garden with stalls and live entertainment.

Until 15 November 2020, experience Halloween at PortAventura Park and get ready for a celebration where mystery and excitement reign. 

With the arrival of Halloween, the park has been transformed with pumpkins, ghosts, bats and cobwebs.

Hotel Charles Lindbergh, the new steampunk inspired hotel in the themed world of Rookburgh at Phantasialand, is now open.

The new hotel includes hotel rooms themed as aeronaut cabins, dinner and breakfast at Restaurant Uhrwerk and exclusive access to Bar 1919.

Rookburgh, the new themed world at Phantasialand - including the world’s first flying launch coaster, FLY - is still in soft opening.
